Barbara (Kay) Mills Williams
December 19, 1939 - April 19, 2017

GRANITE FALLS, N.C. - Barbara “Kay” Mills Williams, age 77, of Granite Falls, formerly of Claremont, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.

Born December 19, 1939 in Ashe County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Mills and Ella Mae Haire Callender. Kay was a member Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden and retired from Kmart in Conover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Albert Williams; son Michael Williams; and a great-grandson Baby Maddux Williams.

She is survived by two daughters Brenda Rowe and husband Jimmy of Granite Falls and Lisa Cook and husband Jerry of West Virginia; two sons Terry Williams and wife Betty of Claremont and Randy Williams of Denver; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister Audrey Harmon of Lenoir.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden with Rev.’s Charles Worley and Tanner Mundy officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
