Habitual Or Sincerity

Angie Towery
Staff Writer

Often times, when passing another, we offer our "Hellos and how are you" but how many times do we frequent from habit?

Did you really mean for someone to get into their what's gone wrong, health issues, or just stop to chat? Probably not.

I have truly only encountered one person who asked, "How are you?" and sincerely wanted to know every time. That man was Larry Dellinger. I believe Larry cared to know because Larry was the kind of individual who took time to appreciate new blooms, bees pollinating, and the birds feeding.

Ever thought about how words slip out and you believe you said it although you really aren't certain. The "I love yous; Good nights; Be carefuls” - easy words of habits.

When we speak thoughts behind our phrases, we tend to remember what we said. Like, "Hey brother, I like that shirt!" It's always nice to lift someone up but do you recall what color the shirt was or what it was about?

Habitual or sincerity, hard to differentiate at times.
