LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the theft of an enclosed trailer from a Lincoln County church.

On September 12, 2017 deputies were dispatched to 5467 E NC 27 Hwy to investigate the theft of the trailer from Real Life Community Church. Church officials reported the trailer was last known to be at the church on Sunday, September 10, 2017.

Surveillance video shows a white pickup truck, possibly a Ford F250, pulled into the drive and turned off the headlights on the vehicle. The driver then backed up and hooked up to the trailer. Deputies say they believe two or more suspects were involved and one person had been dropped off earlier to cut the lock. It only took two minutes for the truck to back up to the trailer and leave the scene.

The 14-foot box trailer is white and chrome in color and contained camping supplies. The name of the church, Real Life Community Church, is written on both sides of the trailer in large green letters.

Anyone with information about the stolen trailer is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at 704-735-8202 or Lincolnton/Lincoln County CrimeStoppers at 704-736-8909.
