Police Asking for Help in Izard's Murder

The Lincolnton Police Department is requesting the public’s help in solving a homicide that took place on the evening of May 04, 2018 at approximately 11:48 PM. The victim, 25-year-old Johnny Ray Izard,  Jr., better known as "Nuke,"  was walking in the 200 block of Newbold Street  when he was  shot and killed. 

Lincolnton-Lincoln County CrimeStoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect (or multiple suspects) in this case.  

If anyone has any information, please contact the Lincolnton Police Department 704-736-8900 or Lincolnton-Lincoln County CrimeStoppers at 704-736-8909.  If you choose to do so, you can remain anonymous and still qualify for the reward.

A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon (May 17th)  at 1:30 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 E. Pine St. in  Lincolnton.
