LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Tammy grew up in Allenton, Wisc. and graduated from Slinger High School in Slinger, Wisc.  Prior to moving to North Carolina, Tammy attended Concordia University in Mequon, Wisc. and majored in Court Reporting.  She has worked for Lincoln County Schools for over nine years.

She started working at East Lincoln High School as a data manager and after five years she had the opportunity to go to the Central Office as the District Data Manager.  She enjoys working with all 24 schools especially getting to know the staff through her support of the Student Information System.  She considers the staff to be as one big team, saying “everyone has the same focus – to help teachers and students succeed.  We all work together to provide the support that the schools need.”

She encourages students to believe in themselves.  She inspires students to challenge themselves and to never give up.   She adds that “all things are possible if you believe.”  She wants students to “keep dreams alive!”

Tammy explains that she enjoys and values the relationships she has developed as a “Mustang” parent as well as a Lincoln County Schools employee.  She notes that her children had great teachers, coaches, and mentors in Lincoln County Schools that has greatly impacted their lives.  She appreciates that she gets to be involved with our students, parents, and staff through various roles as District Data Manager.

Tammy’s two sons, Brandon and Blake, both graduated from East Lincoln High School.  In addition to attending East Lincoln High School, they went to Catawba Springs Elementary, and East Lincoln Middle School. Tammy and her husband, Russ Strupp, enjoy spending time as a family and cooking together. Tammy enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and DIY house projects.

She would like our community to know that Lincoln County Schools provides students with the opportunity to learn. She is appreciative of the many great people she works with every day and for the opportunity for professional growth allowing her to broaden her abilities. She values how Lincoln County School provides her with great support and always ensures that she has the resources she needs to achieve her goals.
