Stoplight Violation Equals Stolen Vehicle & Drug Violations
The driver of the vehicle was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, driving while license revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia. One passenger had drug charges and a third was released at the scene.

Two People Arrested On Felony Drug Charges At Traffic Stop
A routine traffic stop for a burned out headlight led to the arrest of two people on drug charges. Over $8,000 in cash, 103 grams of marijuana and 44 grams of crack cocaine were found in the vehicle.

Snow is expected in our area late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.  While schools may cancel classes, no announcements are expected until early Wednesday. The National Weather Service says we may get as much as two inches, but less northward and more east and south of Lincolnton.

Wade Wallace Doering II has had warrants issued for him for one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and first degree kidnapping. Detectives learned the suspect was picked up by an unknown male in a red pickup truck and believed to have been transported to Spartanburg, S.C.

Lincoln County Schools announced they'd be closing for the day at 11 AM Monday as a precaution related to the possibility of some freezing rain in the afternoon, although the forecast appeared to negate the likelihood of that. Lincoln Charter (both campuses) also closed at 1 PM.
