Four People Charged After Bad Drug Deal Leads To Robbery
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives have charged four people after a drug deal went bad and the victim was robbed of cash. The two women have been arrested and the two men remain at large and are considered armed and dangerous.

The charges come after the conclusion of separate investigations into the sale, transport, and distribution of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and methamphetamine.  One person has been taken into custody while the other two people have avoided arrest.

Fatal Shooting Resulted From Attempted Robbery
That Wednesday evening shooting near the Catawba-Lincoln County line off Startown Road was apparently the result of an attempted robbery.  The incident, shortly after 6 PM that day, left a 17-year-old from Lincolnton dead.  Two other young men have now been charged in the case.
