Cardinals Defeat Maiden In 9th Inning
Jordon Easter hit a dramatic three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Maiden 9-8 Tuesday, June 20 in a game that was suspended on Sunday due to the weather.

This fundraising event will benefit the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation in memory of Sister Mary Norman, who passed away from carcinoid cancer in August. Norman was a member of the Maryvale Sisters who have a daycare in Vale, N.C.

The Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club will sponsor a Poker Run for Cars and Motorcycles on Saturday, June 17 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at LKN Coffee Shoppe in Denver. Participants are also being asked to donate stuffed animals for Bears for the Brave program.

Surratt Honored By City Council
