The Mustangs won over the Lake Norman Charter Knights while the Lady Mustangs lost by one point. Lincolnton won both of their games and North Lincoln won over the West Lincoln boys.

Ninth Annual Valentine's Weekend 5k & Fun Run
The East Lincoln Mustangs Cross Country Team will hold their Ninth Annual Valentine’s Weekend 5k Run & Walk on Saturday, February 17. Proceeds will go to local families to help with food and clothing in addition to helping the team buy needed supplies and send the team to camp.

The Lincolnton Panthers 13/14-year-old All Star Flag Football Team will travel to the Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida January 25-29 to represent the Carolina Panthers and compete in the NFL FLAG Championship games.

Mustangs Win Pair Over Wildcats
The East Lincoln Mustangs trailed 36-28 at the break, but outscored the North Gaston Wildcats 41-15 in the second half for a 69-51 win in the non-conference game Saturday afternoon. The Lady Mustangs won 64-54.

Lincoln County Swim Meet Results For Jan. 3
The Lincoln Charter Women’s swim team finished first with 475 points with North Lincoln coming in second. The men’s team for Lincoln Charter scored 496 points in their first place win with East Lincoln finishing second.

Mustangs Score 106 Points In Win Over Bandys
Both the boys and girls teams won over Bandys last night. The 106 points in the boys game is the second highest total by a Mustang basketball team, only surpassed by the 2015-2016 team who scored 107 points against the Mallard Creek Mavericks.

Junior, Sidney Dollar, converted a jump shot with .9 seconds on the clock as the Mustangs escaped with a 57-55 win over the Trojans in the semi-finals of the East Lincoln Winter Jam held Friday night in Denver. They play Mallard Creek tonight at 8:30 p.m.

Peoples Bank Holiday Clash Finals
The Lincolnton boys won their fourth straight Peoples Bank Holiday Clash tournament 67-52 over East Gaston. The Lady Wolves lost by one point in the girls final to North Gaston 37-36. Robbie Cowie of Lincolnton was named boys All-Tournament MVP.

Senior Kabian McClendon of East Lincoln scored his 1,000 point as East Lincoln won over Forestview by a score of 73-57 in the first round of the East Lincoln Winter Jam held Thursday night at East Lincoln High School.
