DALLAS, N.C. - The Arts & Humanities Explorers Career and Education program introduces the multidisciplinary aspects of the arts to Gaston County high school students. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, field trips and community service activities.

The primary goals of the program are to aid the students in developing their knowledge of the particular area or areas of interest in the arts and to introduce them to the career, teaching and entrepreneurship possibilities in the arts.

Participants from the Arts & Humanties Explorers program recently received awards from Gaston College’s WSGE 91.7FM morning show personality, assistant program director/music director and independent film producer/director Tim Greene.

Other speakers for the evening included WSGE's public affairs director Randy Walker and WSGE station manager Cathis Hall. The Gaston Arts Council facilitates the Arts & Humanities Explorers Career and Education program.

You can catch Tim Greene mornings from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday thru Friday on NPR affiliate 91.7FM WSGE.
