The Lincoln County Apple Festival draws thousands of people to downtown Lincolnton--but that hasn't always meant more business for local stores. The Downtown Development Association hopes to change that.

They've organized a Scavenger Hunt for Apple Festival Day. Even if you don't buy something from them that day, they're hoping that your visit to local stores will make you more aware of what they have to offer.

To participate--and have a chance at prizes:
  • Pick up a pre-printed form at any of the participating locations or from the DDA Booth located near Cedar Street.
  • Then find the participating merchants and vendors at locations from the third block of East Main to the Courtsquare.
  • Locate the hidden Green Apple inside the store or booth.
  • Locate the number on the Green Apple and write it on the entry form next to the participating location's name.
  • You have to finish your hunt by 1 PM; then turn it in to the DDA Booth on Main near Cedar.
A drawing for prizes donated by local merchants will be held at 2 PM from all correct entries. You don't have to be present at the drawing to win, but it is recommended.

Participating Scavenger Hunt Locations Include:
  • Central Café, 230 East Main Street
  • Just Around The Corner, 120 East Main Street
