at the Lincoln Cultural Center.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 7th

Kiser Intermediate School Chorus Concert
The  Kiser Intermediate Chorus will  perform their Christmas concert in the school  cafeteria at 5:30 PM.

Childers Elementary School PTO meeting
The Childers Elementary PTO will meet in the school gymnasium at 6 PM.  4th graders will present a Christmas program.

West Lincoln Choral Concert

The West Lincoln High School Chorus will perform a Christmas concert Thursday at 6 PM at Hull's Grove Baptist Church, just off Highway 27 near the Highway 274 intersection (Hull's Crossroads) on Hull's Grove Church Road.

Music program at Iron Station School
A Christmas music program will be presented by students at Iron Station School at 6:30 PM.

St. James Elementary PTO
The St. James Elementary School PTO will meet at 6:30.  The chorus will present a musical program following the meeting.

WLHS Band Concert
The West Lincoln High School Band will perform its Holiday Concert at the James W. Warren Citizens Center in Lincolnton at 7 PM Thursday. The West Lincoln Middle School Band will also participate.

East Lincoln Drama Department presents "Christmas Belles"
The East Lincoln High School Drama Department will present "Christmas Belles" in the drama room at the school.  Admission is $5.

DECEMBER 7th & 8th

Christmas Bazaar
The Lincoln County Senior Center will hold its 4th annual Christmas Bazaar 9 AM - 3 PM each day at 514 South Academy Street in Lincolnton (Lincoln Campus of Gaston College). Christmas crafts will be available; they'll have a bake sale and hot dogs will be available 11 AM - 1 PM). For more information call 704-732-9053.

DECEMBER 7th-9th

NLHS Play
The North Lincoln High School Drama Department will present "The Crucible" Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 PM in the North Lincoln High School auditorium. The box office will open each night at 6:30. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, students and employees of Lincoln County Schools.

Carriage Rides & Santa's House
Enjoy carriage rides through downtown Lincolnton beginning and ending on the north side of the first block of East Main Street December 7-9, December 15-16, and December 21-23 6:30 - 9:30 nightly. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Santa's House on the north Courtsquare 5 - 8 PM December 7-9, December 15-16, and December 21-23.

[Note: weather may cause a cancellation of the Santa's House visits and Carriage Rides--see our WEATHER story.  The forecast calls for sunny skies on Saturday, so the weather should be fine for the parades and for Saturday night but very cold.]

DECEMBER 8th-10th

"Elf, Jr." Musical (Lincolnton)
Enthusiastic crowds enjoyed last weekend's performances by the Lincoln Theatre Guild of "Elf, Jr." the Musical. Its second weekend will include shows on Friday and Saturday at 7 PM and Sunday at 3 PM at the Lincoln Cultural Center, corner of Main and Cedar streets in Lincolnton.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 9th

Christmas Bazaar
Crouse United Methodist Church will hold a Christmas Bazaar Saturday 8 AM - 2 PM. Pottery, jewelry, crocheted and knitted items, and many other craft creations will be available as well as door prizes. Sausage biscuits will be served early and hot dogs later with tea or coffee; baked goods for the holidays will also be available.

Toy Run 4 Kids
Bikers are invited to participate in the Toy Run 4 Kids Saturday starting at 11 AM near the fuel station at Ingles on East Main Street Please bring at least one toy $10 or more value. They'll also be collecting new and gently used winter hats, coats and gloves. Donations will help needy families through the Toys for Tots program.

Cat Square Parade
The Cat Square parade will begin at 1 PM Saturday and will take its usual route from the Dan Rhyne Road/Zur Leonard Road intersection south through Cat Square to Bill Sain Road.

Hull’s Grove Baptist Live Nativity
Hull's Grove Baptist Church, Highway 27 West at Hull's Crossroads, will present a live nativity Saturday and Sunday from 6 - 8 each evening.
