eBars Issues Voluntary Recall Of Products Due To Undeclared Peanuts & Almonds
Products sold at Whole Foods stores located in Tennessee, Alabama, NC, SC & Mississippi
Press Release

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - eBars is initiating a voluntary recall of MAN bar, WOMAN bar, TRIM Chocolate Almond bar, and FOCUS Chocolate Peanut bar due to the presence of some amount of undeclared peanuts and almonds.

eBars is taking this precautionary safety step for people who are allergic to peanuts and almonds. People with an allergy to peanuts and almonds run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

eBars is strongly advising consumers who are allergic to peanuts or almonds to refrain from consuming these bars, and is strongly advising that all consumers read the labels and warnings on the packaging before consuming any eBars product.

The affected products are sold in Kroger stores in Tennessee, as well as Whole Foods stores located in Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Mississippi.   All affected products have been removed from store shelves in Nashville, Tenn., and throughout the state of Georgia.  All affected products in the states of Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and the remainder of Tennessee will be removed from store shelves promptly.

The voluntary recall applies to all individual bars meeting the criteria found in the table below.  The affected “Lot#” can be found on the back of individual packaging. No other eBars products, pack sizes, flavors or “Lot#'’ codes are affected.

eBars is asking consumers to return affected products to the store where they were purchased to request an exchange or full refund if there is any allergy concern. Affected products should then be discarded in a secure place and not consumed.

eBars discovered this issue when a routine inspection resulted in a previously undetected positive allergen result of peanuts and almonds. There are no reported or confirmed illnesses associated with this recall.

For more information please visit or contact eBars directly at 865-335-1988.

eBars cares deeply about the health and safety of consumers, and apologizes for this inconvenience.
