VALE, N.C.––The West Lincoln United Methodist Charge will present The Travelling Sisters, Oct. 29.

The one-act comedy by John Kirkpatrick is being presented that Sunday at 5 p.m. at Hebron United Methodist Church, located at 8121 S. Hebron Church Road in rural Vale’s 28168 ZIP code. Tickets are $7 at the door, and this includes a dessert along with the show.

According to West Lincoln Methodist Charge spokeswoman Sara Green, the show is being performed by a group comprised of local Methodist ministers and community members. The event is a fundraiser for various outreach ministries.

The play is produced by arrangement with New York City-based Samuel French, Inc. According to French:

“At the travel bureau the two old ladies were considered a bit eccentric. Twice a year, they came to plan an extended summer vacation or an elaborate winter cruise. They could not afford to go anywhere, so they journeyed vicariously with timetables, sailing schedules and brochures featuring expensive hotels. They always had a wonderful time and were sure that some day they’d sail on their dream cruise. Suddenly their knowledge of foreign countries pays off when they catch two bank-robbers, and a grateful bank sends the old gals off to Rio.”
