Lincoln Charter School's graduation Friday night (May 29th) was a 'race to the finish line.'

Actually, there was no racing involved, but the 142 graduating seniors did cross the finish line to get their diplomas at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  While some senior classes may feel they missed out because the coronavirus pandemic kept them from their traditional graduation at the end of the school year, Lincoln Charter grads got a graduation that was something they'll talk about for years to come.

The Lincoln Charter Class of 2020 can also boast about their graduation and accomplishments for other reasons:
  • They racked up acceptances to over 625 colleges/universities
  • Financial offerings of over $13.8 million in scholarships and grants
  • The Class of 2020 logged over 18,000 service hours during their Lincoln Charter tenure
  • 12% of the Class of 2020 will be first generation college students
  • 78% of the Class of 2020 plan to attend a four year college/university, 16% plan to attend a two year college
  • 21% of the Class of 2020 have attended Lincoln Charter for all 13 years (K-12)
  • 95% of the Class of 2020 have been active in at least one club and 66% participated in at least one sport, during their tenure
