LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Martha “Rose” Lynch Story, age 88, of Lincolnton passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

Rose was born October 28, 1935 in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Lynch and Georgia Bolick Lynch. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold K. Story; son, Tony Story and daughter-in-law Marian Story. Rose worked as office manager in her husband’s business, Story Custom Homes.

Her Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday May 11, 2024 at Boger City Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Bigham will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

She is survived by her children; Robin Story Machado (David) of Holly Springs, Mickie Story Stevens (Randall) of Lincolnton and Christopher A. Story of Hickory; brother, Earl D. Lynch of Lincolnton; and sister, Roxanna Parker of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
