Robert “Bob” Lee Frazier Jr.

August 2, 1935 – May 5, 2024


CLAREMONT, N.C. - Robert “Bob” Lee Frazier Jr., 88, of Claremont passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 2, 1935 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Frazier Sr. and Floy Issac Frazier. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army having been stationed in Greenland and Germany. He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic with Rea Construction Company and Tompson and Arthur for 53 years before retiring at the age of 73. Robert enjoyed spending time outside, tinkering on all sorts of stuff and making things. He had a passion for beekeeping and is known for his famous Bob’s Honey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Watts Frazier; daughters, Lynn Frazier Eckard and Donna Christine Huffman; son, Robert Lee Frazier III; brother, Richard Henry Frazier; and sisters, Frances Mackey, Nancy Wallace, and Beulah Jarrett.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter Lora Annette Frazier; grandchildren Petey “Dabbers” Stewart (Samantha), Robert “Peanut” Lunceford, Charlie “Chucky” Huffman, Heather “Toby” Besoiu (Chris), Cortney “Doodles” Roberts (Bart); great-grandson Tate Besoiu; son-in-law Gary Lynn Eckard; and numerous nieces and nephews

A graveside service with military honors to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba. Mrs. Heather Besoiu will officiate.
