There’s a reason why golden retrievers are so popular – and why people want miniature version of them. For many, they are an ideal dog breed. Friendly, easy going and clever, they make great family pets for most homes. Because they are so adaptable, they get along well in households that have other pets and children. Better yet, golden retrievers are very loyal. Adopting one guarantees you will have a friend for life.
Another Tri-County Animal Rescue Pet of the Week is a beautiful Rat Terrier named Dandy. He is 4-years-old and has LOTS of spunk. Dandy weighs under 10-pounds. Check out those ears! He has beautiful short hair which makes grooming very simple…bath and brushing. Dandy is shy when first meeting you but warms up fast. He is good with everyone, especially kids, and gets along with other pets. Dandy is neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. Come on out…we will be looking for you this Saturday.
The Rat Terrier has sometimes been described as having a dual personality. He is a fearless, tenacious hunter with seemingly unlimited energy. When he is not hunting, however, the Rat Terrier is an exceptionally friendly companion, getting along well with children, other dogs, and even cats. Their lifespan is 15 years – 23 years on average. The Rat Terrier temperament: Intelligent, Affectionate, Alert, Inquisitive, Lively, Loving, Fearlessly game for just about anything, Friendly, Inquisitive, Lovable, Friendly, lovable and inquisitive.
If you are looking for an addition to your family, please come out and meet our adoptable pets this weekend. Many pets will be at the Gastonia PetSmart located at 3698 East Franklin Boulevard this Saturday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
