John Jacob Jankowski Jr.
August 18, 1945 - February 3, 2020

LINCOLNTON - Mr. John Jacob Jankowski Jr., age 74, of Lincolnton passed away February 3, 2020.

He was born August 18, 1945 in Nassau County, Rockville Center, New York and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in home building, as a long-haul truck driver, and as a security guard. Mr. Jankowski was the recipient of an organ donation in October 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 12 p.m. at St. Dorothy’s Catholic church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne Johnson Jankowski; daughters Amanda J. McClure and husband Steve McClure of Lincolnton, Kelly Canipe and husband Robert of Lincolnton, Erin Q. Jankowski of Raleigh; two sisters, Ellen J. Garrison and her husband Harry of Bayville, N.Y. and Diane J. Peterson of Swansboro, N.C; four grandchildren Alison Jankowski, Tristan McClure, Anouk Van Dyke and Holland McClure.

Memorials may be made to the organization of your choice. The family asks that you please consider organ donation if you have not done so, as it prolongs the life of the recipient.

King Mortuary of Gastonia (AKA A Simple Service) is serving the Jankowski family.
