Robert Edward Lowman
November 26, 1954 - May 17, 2020

MAIDEN, N.C. - Robert Edward Lowman, age 65, of Maiden went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 26, 1954 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late George “Tooney” Carlton Lowman Jr. and the late Evelyn Pauline Clark Lowman.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years Doris Lowman of the home; two daughters Lisa Wingler and husband Kenny of Hamptonville, Melissa Mooney and husband Bryon Jr. of Conover; three sons John D. Willis Jr. and wife Susan of Lincolnton, Robert Gibson Jr. and wife Chelsea of Stanley, Keith Lowman of Taylorsville; two sisters Myra Keener and husband Nathan of Lincolnton, Heidi Lawing and husband Lee of Newton; brother Tony Lowman and wife Debbie of Maiden; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Maiden City Cemetery with Dr. Hugh Whitfield officiating.

Robert will lie in state Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Maiden.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
