Lorretta Jean Warren Bradshaw
August 25, 1938 - July 29, 2020

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Lorretta Jean Warren Bradshaw, 81, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Charlotte.

Loretta was born on August 25,1938 in Catawba to Conley and Margaret Drum Warren. She was a graduate of Bandys High School in Newton and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1959 at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory. Loretta worked as a middle school social studies and earth science teacher for the Newton-Conover and Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Administrations until her retirement in 1989.

Loretta was the widow of the late Howard Holt “Pete” Bradshaw Jr. of Mooresville. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl M. Warren of Conover, brother Jerry R. Warren of Newton and stepdaughter Elaine Bradshaw of Sante Fe, N.M.

Loretta is survived by stepson Howard Holt Bradshaw III of Centreville, Va.; and four step-grandchildren.

Loretta was a life-long resident of North Carolina having lived in Catawba, Maiden, Newton, Hickory, Charlotte, Mooresville, and most recently at the Preston House Memory Care Assisted Living Facility, also in Charlotte. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing and genealogy.

At the family’s request, no service will be held. Inurnment will be at Mount Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden.
