Unity Baptist Fall VBS, October 11-13 --- Join us for a wild and exciting adventure into Noah’s Ark as we explore the important messages behind a flood, a bunch of animals and a rainbow at God Keeps His Promises Fall Vacation Bible School.  Classes for ages Preschool through Fifth Grade. The VBS will be held October 11-13 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. On Friday night special guest will be George Lockhart and the Buffalo Beals Petting Zoo. Unity Baptist Church is located at 3017 W. Asbury UMC Fall Craft/Vendor Bazaar, Saturday, October 12 --- Asbury United Methodist Church, 3097 Asbury Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 will host a Fall Craft/Vendor Bazaar on Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Lots of crafts, various vendors and the Boy Scouts will be selling hot dogs and peanuts. Boger City UMC Seniors Craft Sale, Saturday, October 12 --- Boger City United Methodist Church, 2320 E. Main St., Lincolnton, NC 28092 is the host site for the annual Seniors Craft Sale on Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. One of a kind craft items and more by local senior citizens. Baked goods will also be available.

Covenant Church, Laps4Life 2019, Saturday, October 12 --- The 6th annual walk-a-thon for Crisis Pregnancy Center Laps4Life 2019 will be held at Covenant Church, 2168 Gastonia Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092 on Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. This year’s theme is BREAK THE CYCLE and funds raised are going toward expansion of services to prevent unintended pregnancies. Emanuel Reformed Praise And Pasta For A Purpose Benefit, Saturday, October 12 --- Hope Chest Breast Cancer Support Group is hosting a Praise and Pasta for a Purpose Benefit at Emanuel Reformed Church in Lincolnton (across from the post office) on Saturday October 12, 2019 at 4 p.m. Concert featuring Imperfect but Forgiven. Free Event. Dinner immediately after concert. Love offering will be accepted.

Lowesville Gospel Concerts, Exodus and The Ward’s, Saturday, October 12 --- Exodus, a southern gospel group from Gadsden, Alabama and The Ward’s from Waynesville, North Carolina will be in concert Saturday, October 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  at Living Word Ministries, 1062 Hwy 16 South in Lowesville/Stanley. This will be a great evening. The concert will be no cost, a freewill offering only will be received. The church is located 1.8 miles south of the intersection of Highways 73 and 16 Business. McKendree UMC 3rd Sunday Luncheon, Sunday, October 20 --- This month’s luncheon entrees are Baked Ham and Chicken and Dumplings. Try them both! Served with vegetables, homemade biscuits, desserts, and beverage. An $8 donation is requested to support outreach ministries of our church. Both dine-in and take-out are available. This is a family group of bluegrassers that just recently moved from Texas to Tennessee to pursue what God has in store for them through music.  This will be a great evening.
