RBL Stonewall Uprising Film
Celebrate Pride month by visiting the Ridgeview Branch of the Hickory Public Library on Thursday, June 13 at 6 p.m. for a special screening of Stonewall Uprising. A documentary from the PBS history series American Experience detailing the history of the police raids at the Stonewall Inn in June 1969 and the impact they had on the gay civil rights movement in the United States. Stick around after the film for refreshments and discussion facilitated by Ed Farthing who has spent a good portion of his adult life advocating for the LGBTQ community through his law practice and his work with Equality NC and OUTright Youth. Ridgeview Library is located at 706 1st Street SW, at the corner of 1st Street and 7th Avenue SW, beside the Ridgeview Recreation Center. All library programs are free and open to the public.
