The inaugural Stampede for Student Success will be held Saturday, October 2 at the Gaston College Dallas Campus. The event will feature a timed three-mile run at 8:30 a.m. and a non-competitive walk of one and a quarter miles at 9 a.m. The event is presented by the Gaston College Foundation. Proceeds from participant entrance fees, donations and sponsorships will go toward the Gaston College Fund, which ensures immediate funding to meet critical campus needs and help students in a variety of ways. An Open House will be held immediately following the event for high school students and their families, teachers and counselors adult learners and members of the community who want to learn about the opportunities available on all Gaston College campuses in Dallas, Lincolnton, and Belmont.
