Raymond Anthony Monte
August 13, 1930 - November 6, 2018

CROUSE, N.C. - Raymond Anthony Monte of Crouse passed away November 6, 2018.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Monte was born August 13, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Anthony Ralph Monte and Philomena Agatha Marie Mansi Monte. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Signal Corp/Air Ground Liaison during the Korean War. Ray owned his own business, Monte’s Imported Car Parts, which was the “go to” spot for VW parts in the Lincoln County area for many years. He loved his family well and they loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Winifred Marie Verrill Monte; a son, Michael A. Monte and wife Mary of Hickory; three daughters, Maureen M. Elmore and husband Barry of Lincolnton, Patricia J. Roberts and husband Willis of Prineville, Oregon, and Anne M. Parker and husband John of Lincolnton; three grandsons, Jason A. Elmore (Lori), Ethan M. Monte-Parker (Demacy), and Ian Monte-Parker; and one great-grandson, Micaidem Fredrick Monte-Parker.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Monte family.
