Barbara Lanning Taylor
January 21, 1941 - December 3, 2018

NEWTON, N.C. - Barbara Lanning Taylor, 77, of Newton passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2018 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton.

She was born January 21, 1941 in Haywood County to the late Goldie and Ella Mae Beck.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons Frank Worley of Claremont, Jimmy Worley of Waynesville, Allen Mercer of Waynesville; daughters Patricia Mercer of Waynesville, Rennee Mercer of Waynesville,
Jeanelle Mercer of Shelby, Reginia Mercer of Waynesville; brother Bruce Beck of Waynesville; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring of Robinson Road, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658

Condolences may be sent to the Taylor family at
