James (Jim) Everett Weaver
April 12, 1940 - January 2, 2019

James (Jim) Everett Weaver, 78, born in Shelby, N.C., April 12, 1940 passed from this life into the next on January 2, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Browning and Lola B. (Carpenter) Weaver, and grandparents: Audie E. and Jessie R. Weaver, and Adolphus N. and Effie F.E. Carpenter.

Jim loved reading, traveling, fishing, camping, gardening, and visiting with all his friends, cousins and other extended family. He loved good food and watching his favorite team the St. Louis Cardinals play ball. Jim was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters UA Local 43 in Chattanooga, Tenn. for 58 years. Jim graduated from Roane County High School, Kingston, Tenn. in 1958 and afterwards he called Kingston home even while working in nearly all 50 states until his retirement in 2010. Jim was a former member of Antioch Methodist Church, Crouse, N.C. and Kingston United Methodist Church, Kingston, Tenn.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 50 years Glenda Lee Watson Weaver whom he married on May 11, 1968, daughters Cynthia and husband Trevor Trout of Harriman, Tenn., Sharon and husband Brian Davis of Cookeville, Tenn., Karen and husband Eric Gibbons of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren: Travis Trout, Tyler Trout, Matthew Davis, James Davis, Trace Stafford, N. Seth Blaylock, Christopher Davis, Toby Trout, Allison Gibbons and Samantha Gibbons. Brother T. Michael Weaver and wife JoAnne of Spring City, Tenn.; brothers-in-law Joe Watson and Larry Finch; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Antioch Methodist Church in Crouse, N.C. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Antioch Methodist Church c/o C.H. Clark, PO Box 4, Crouse, NC 28033 or Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard, 346 Gallaher Road, Kingston, TN 37763.
