CONOVER, N.C. - Frances Leona Little Cooper, age 92, of Conover passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton.
Born November 18, 1926 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Moore and Viola Sells Little. Frances was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Smith Cooper; sister, Alice Mundy; and three brothers, Paul, Glenn and Bill Little; and great-grandson Tyler Buff.
She is survived by two daughters Judy Buff and husband Johnny of Newton and Cathy Osborne and husband Marshall of Greensboro; four grandchildren Jeff Buff and wife Jill of Winston Salem, Jonathan Buff and wife Cindy of Waxhaw, Ashley Johnson and husband Scott of Hillsborough and Garrett Osborne and wife Tina of Greensboro; nine great-grandchildren Ian, Sarah, Ella and Maddy Buff, Bella Flynt, Joey Johnson, Caleb, Cole and Taylor Osborne; sister Betty Huffman and husband Dolan of Hickory; seven sisters-in-law Ann Pope, Alice Ann Little, Margaret Laws, Ivory Anderson, Ettie Rae Huffman, Clara Cooper and Grace Dean Cooper.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Chaplain Susan Roddy officiating.
Private burial will be held at Conover City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
