Kristina (Kris) Goodin Dorsey
October 13, 1947 - July 4, 2019

CONOVER, N.C. - Kristina “Kris” Goodin Dorsey, age 71, of Conover, went into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Brian Center in Lincolnton.

Born October 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Foy Tatum Goodin and Elizabeth Dellinger Massey Goodin and was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Newton.

Kris retired from ER Carpenter in Conover and loved to work in her flower garden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, William “Bill” Lutz Jr. and wife Tammy of Lincolnton, Robert Lutz of Charlotte, Thomas Sigmon of Maiden; sister Diane Travis and husband Gary of Shelby; and grandson, Josh Lutz.

The funeral was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Newton with Rev. Tommy Hullette officiating. Burial followed at Eastview Cemetery.

Kris will lie in state and the family will receive prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Hickory Village in Hickory, Brian Center in Lincolnton, and Hospice and Palliative Care (Charlotte) for the loving care provided to their mother.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 501 Northwest Blvd., Newton, NC 28658 or to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home of Newton, N.C. is serving the Dorsey family.
