CLAREMONT, N.C. - Caroline Elizabeth Ervin, 19, of Claremont passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
She was born October 27, 2001 in Catawba County to Brian and Patti McGee Ervin. Caroline was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, LCMS in Claremont and a 2020 graduate of Bunker Hill High School. She enjoyed horseback riding and loved everything about her horses and her dog, Boone.
Caroline was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joe Morris Ervin and Sue Ervin; maternal grandfather, Richard Long McGee; uncles, Brad Holler and Morris Allen Ervin and special friend Carl Porter.
Those left to cherish her memory are here parents Brian and Patti McGee Ervin of Claremont; brothers Brian Chase Ervin and wife Sierra of Claremont, Codie Allen Ervin and wife Chloe of Newton, Cole Brady Ervin and girlfriend Montana Daniels of Claremont, Clay Patrick Ervin and girlfriend Kayleigh Spivey of Claremont; boyfriend James Bumgarner; aunts Cindy Ervin, Suzanne Franklin and Diedra Phillips; uncleds Michael McGee, Jeff Franklin and Scott Huffman; grandparents June McGee, Jerry and Carolyn Holler; great-aunts and great-uncles Doris Mathis, Joyce and Gary Buchanan, Gary and Revonda Sigmon, Ken Carpenter Jr., Betty McGee, Shirley McGee and Coleen McGee; numerous cousins, friends and special friends Jerry and Ann Sherrill, the Barn Families at the Spotted S and Lazy P.
Due to Covid, a private service to celebrate Caroline’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 4 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont. Rev. Eric Hollar and Vicar Morgan Lane will officiate. Services may be viewed live at www.youtube.com/bethelclaremont or www.facebook.com/bethelclaremont. Caroline’s body will lie in state on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 1-7 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton, NC 28658
