CATAWBA, N.C. - Lonnie Allee Wilson, age 88, of Catawba passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence.
Born November 17, 1932 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Latt Allee and Blanche McRee Wilson. Lonnie was a member of Smyrna Church in Catawba. In addition to his parents, brother, Hugh Wilson and sister, Nancy Wilson Danmyer preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years Mary Neil Parker of the home; two daughters Donna Barger and husband, Donald of Newton; Doris Stone and husband, Tommy of Duncan, S.C.; two brothers Harold Wilson and wife, Sonja of Catawba; Bryant Wilson of Catawba; brother-in-law Dave Danmyer of Tennessee; two grandsons Allen Stone, Matthew Barger; and two granddaughters LeAnn Barger and Lauren Barger.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Church Cemetery in Catawba with Rev. Randall Cauble and Rev. Jonathan Abernethy officiating.
Family will receive friends following the graveside service at the grave.
Mr. Wilson will lie in state without family members present, Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Burke Mortuary in Maiden.
