Analeah (Geneva) Hoke
June 8,1921-April 10, 2021

Our sweet Mama, Grandma, Analeah Hoke’s spirit transitioned home on Saturday, April 10, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior, her husband Gene and all her family and friends having passed before her.

She was born June 8, 1921 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Charles Matthew Walling and Claudia Witherspoon Walling. Analeah was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Claremont. She was a homemaker, and took care of many children that lived in the Claremont area. Analeah enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner and crocheting, many of the items she crocheted, she gave to others

This is tough for the family but as we think of her as an amazing strong lady and determined as she was all her life, nothing held her down. She never complained, she made sure everyone was fed, cared for, and spoke her truth. She was specific in the weeks prior to her homegoing asking us to be happy for her when she left for Heaven, for all she pushed through her 99 years, nothing held her back.  Her favorite saying was, “If you can’t say anything good about somebody, then don’t say anything at all.” She loved all her grandchildren who all claimed to be her favorite. We want to thank the staff of Carolina Caring for their special care especially Janice Austin, Cherri Schronce and Shoua Yang.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Eugene Hoke; brothers, Manley Walling and Ashley Walling; sisters, Lena Parlier and Phyllis (Teny) Garrison; daughters-in-law, Wilma Hoke, Ruth Hoke; sister-in-law, Juanita Walling and brother-in-law, Bob Parlier.

Those left to cherish her memory are;

Sons: Larry Hoke of Claremont; Jerry Hoke and special friend Nancy of Claremont; Perry Hoke of Claremont

Daughters:  Janie Edwards and husband Paul of Claremont; Janice Moser and husband Randy of Claremont

Brother-In-Law: David Garrison of Newton

Sister-In-Law: Anne Walling of Claremont

Grandchildren: Teresa Simmons (Keith), Tammy Lewis (Scottie), Avery Hoke, Angie Atiken (Tom), Ann Canipe (Robert), Tommy Hoke (Gail), Janice Austin (Carroll), Ashley Edwards (Machelle), Randy Lee Moser (Donna), Randall Sigmon, Corey Edwards (Lisa), Jonathan Moser (Jennifer), Jeromie Moser, Kimberly Hiss (Robert)

Twenty-four great-grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great-grandchildren.

Calvary Lutheran cemetery in Claremont. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
