Billy “Bill” Lawrence Little, 86 of Claremont passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his daughter’s residence.
He was born May 29, 1934 in Catawba County to the late James Lawrence Little and Floy Loretta Sigmon Little. Bill was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Claremont and served as a Deacon and President of the Congregation. During his younger years, he was an avid athlete, excelling in baseball and basketball. He was a United States Navy veteran and founding member of Montclair Furniture Company in Claremont and retired from the furniture industry. Bill was also a member of Riverside Masonic Lodge #606 in Catawba, and the Shriners Club and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Luke Sigmon.

Sister: Becky Miller of Claremont
Mother-in-law: Martha Sigmon of Conover
Grandchildren: Ashley Arndt, Lyndsi Sigmon (Wesley), Erika Bernhardt (Brett), Morgan Loza (Gus), Drew Huffman and Jake Huffman
Great-Grandchildren: Mia Loza, Drew Sigmon, Addi Cate Sigmon, Livi Sigmon, Beckett Bernhardt, Xander Bernhardt and Eliza Bernhardt
A graveside service with military honors and Masonic Grave Rites to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church cemetery in Claremont. Dr. Gary Haddock and Rev. Heather Langan will officiate.The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are: Drew Huffman, Jake Huffman, Wesley Sigmon, Gus Loza, Brett Bernhardt, Billy Ray Brown, Richard Helton, Ted Sigmon, Stanley Sigmon and Tim Sigmon.
