Cynthia Bolick Watson
September 7, 1957-July 19, 2021

Cynthia “Cindy” Bolick Watson, 63, of Newton passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Carolina Caring of Newton.

She was born September 7, 1957 in Catawba County to the late John Alvin Bolick and to Shirley Isenhour Bolick of Claremont. Cindy was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover, a 1975 graduate of Newton-Conover High School and played in the marching band. She was employed with Bunker Hill High School as a cafeteria worker. Cindy loved lighthouses, traveling to the mountains, reading her bible and spending time with her dog, Daisy.

 Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, David Watson; daughter, Alexis Watson and boyfriend Joshua Sims of Hickory; her mother, Shirley Isenhour Bolick of Claremont; brother, Mark Bolick and wife Teresa of Hickory; and sister, Johnna Bolick of Newton.

A service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover. Rev. Brian Correll will officiate. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Newton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are: Mike Hawkins, Alan Dunning, Phil Winters, Randy Propst, Tim Hudson, and Josh Sims.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, c/o Youth, 1405 Emmanuel Church Rd., Conover, NC 28613.
