Shirley Jean Moose Martin
July 26, 1937 - October 10, 2021

MAIDEN, N.C. - Shirley Jean Moose Martin, age 84, of Maiden passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her daughter’s residence.

Born July 26, 1937 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mozelle Detter Moose. She was a member of St. Matthews Reformed Church in Maiden.

In addition to her parents, four brothers, Glenn, Melvin, Leonard and Harold Moose; two sisters, Sue Campbell, Wanda Willis; son, Randy Jackson; and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Diane Chandler and husband Bill of Maiden; Gail Griebel and husband Jeff of Lincolnton; brother John Moose and wife Dora of Maiden; two sisters Barbara Houston of Conover and Rebecca Ferriera of Statesville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many great, great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October, 14, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with David Hartsoe officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-5:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
