Aundria McDaniel Knight
August 15, 1959 - October 11, 2021

STATESVILLE, N.C. - Aundria McDaniel Knight, 62, of Statesville passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born August 15, 1959 in Catawba County to the late Larry Richard McDaniel and to Rebecca Abernethy Carpenter of Statesville. Aundria was a member of Christ Alive Church in Newton, loved Jesus and telling others about Christ. She spent countless hours in intercessory prayer for family and friends, especially those who haven’t accepted Christ and those who need deliverance from things in life. Aundria enjoyed the ocean’s salty breeze, visiting the beach and mountains, exercising, and horseback riding. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Aundria loved the holidays. Her favorite time of the year was fall, she enjoyed the cooler weather, sitting outside and drinking specialty coffee in the morning. Aundria enjoyed arts and crafts and could take nothing and make something beautiful, whether it be her home or something she was creating from scratch. She took very good care of herself and had a sassy dress style. Aundria loved all kinds of dancing, especially in the arms of her loving husband. She loved life!

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Hessie McDaniel; and maternal grandparents, Everette and Ruby Abernethy.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 14 years Franklin Dean Knight of the home; daughters Krisina Killian and husband Danny of Conover, Jenica Dale Chrysler and husband Roger of Davidson, Destiny Behrens and husband Greg of Crawfordville, Fla.; mother Rebecca Abernethy Carpenter of Statesville; brothers Vincent Todd McDaniel and wife Ginger of Hickory, James Knight and wife Jessica Wiggins of Statesville; grandchildren Alexis Hall, Kros Carrigan, Kayla Carrigan, Jacob Hall, Brianna Chrysler, Alyssa Chrysler, Brianna Fox, Anthony Knight, Alivia Behrens, and Nathan Behrens.

A memorial service to celebrate Aundria’s life will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Christ Alive Church in Newton. Rev. Mark Ivey will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Christ Alive Church.
