Jeremy Kent Pope
April 3, 1979 - January 10, 2022

CONOVER, N.C. - Jeremy Kent Pope, 42, of Conover passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his residence from complications of RSV/COVID.

He was born April 3, 1979 in Catawba County to Jerry Wayne Pope and Cynthia “Cindy” Heafner Pope of Conover. Jeremy was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton and was self-employed in the concrete industry. He loved spending time with his sons, being outdoors, golfing, fishing, and hunting.

Those left to cherish his memory is his sons Jordan Lee Pope of Conover, Jacob Kent Pope of Conover; parents Jerry Wayne Pope and Cynthia “Cindy” Heafner Pope of Conover; brother Jonathan Brent Pope and wife Amanda and their daughter Chloe, of Maiden; aunts and uncles Steven and Brenda Heafner of Conover, Johnny and Patsy Pope of Conover, Billy and Crystal Pope of Conover; and many beloved cousins.

A service to celebrate Jeremy’s life will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church in Newton. Rev. Tom Jones and Rev. Jim Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Newton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church, 111 W 13th St, Newton, NC 28658 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
