Choose Your Enemies

Judge Rembert
Guest Columnist

In the year 2020...
We all see people carrying hate...
Hate is a heavy load...
Hate often hides truth...
Hate removes reason...
Hate can be evil...
Hate can make people evil...

Hate can make even good people evil...
Hate is a strong motivator …
Hate gives the weak case strength...
Hate gives the lie strength...

Many people have faith...
Many people have reputations...
Reputations they have formed for years...
Reputations that have meaning...
Reputations built by their families...
Reputations that are worth fighting for...

Many people have self-worth...
These people think about their actions...
They think about their reputations...
They think about their family names...
These are people who will think before they act...
Think about what will be the results...
The results of their actions...

They think about what people will see...
How will they be judged...
Judged for their actions...
These people will be more honest...
These people will be more careful...
They are afraid of hate...

Now there are others who deal differently...
They use hate to motivate...
These people care more about the hate...
These are very dangerous enemies...
They will do anything to anybody...
They have nothing to loose...
Who cares about their reputations....

You may think of the mean thing....
You many have the mean lawless thoughts...
But you will not carry out those thoughts...
You are not going to destroy your name...
You have a family to think about...
You are not mislead by hate...
You are not controlled by hate...
You are controlled by your brain...
Your brain and your heart...

So remember you can not win if...
If you are going by two sets...
Two different sets of rules...

KNOW THE RULES BEFORE...
BEFORE YOU ENGAGE...

More About Judge Rembert: WWII made Judge an only child when her half-brother was killed in the war. She lived in a tiny town in South Carolina until she was eight and her Mother went to work. She was sent to a boarding school in Belmont, N.C. From that time on she has lived back and forth in the two Carolinas. They are both home. She was born dyslexic and did not know what the problem was or that it had a name until she was about 45. She was unable to spell so she never put words on paper until she was 65 and had a computer with spell check. She comes from a long line of story tellers and a Mother that taught her much by telling stories. Stories about people and how they faced life and how they dealt with problems. If you read what she writes you may hear her Mother and her Grandmother talking to her. She is thrilled to know that anyone reads her words and finds them interesting. Oh, she is 75 now and she now makes her home in Aiken, S.C. If you like Judge’s writings or would like to comment on them let her know by emailing judgerembert@bellsouth.net.
