4/18/2020 12:01:00 AM Letter to the Editor Thank You!
We are most fortunate to live in a community that truly cares about each other. Your newspaper has lifted up many deserving “heroes” each day and you are to be commended for bringing good news during difficult times. Thank you!
During difficult times like this pandemic, our community never fails to step up with needed supplies and financial assistance when needed. This support comes from churches, nonprofit organizations, the United Way, Lincoln Community Foundation, and individual donors just to name a few. Thank you all for your generous support!
Thanks to all of the community’s “essential workers” who are too numerous to list individually that go to work each day and risk their personal health on our behalf. Please know that all of you are most appreciated and we share our heartfelt gratitude for your service.
I have the privilege of working with the owners, directors, teachers, assistants, and support staff caring for and educating young children in child care facilities (child care centers and family child care homes). They also assume health and economic risk in caring for the children of “essential workers” and others. Thank you for your commitment to our community’s children and their families as well.
I am not a bit surprised as to how our community has responded to this crisis, but I am inspired. We will get through it together. Take care and be safe.
Michael E. Linker, Executive Director Partnership for Children of Lincoln/Gaston Counties
