It's true - one man's junk is another man's treasure.
Trash or donate? When we get tired of things we tend to throw them out. Most people like to get new things but what defines new?
New to most is straight off a store's shelf, while for others, new is something they've found as a treasure from a thrift store.
Folks who shop at thrift stores should never be perceived as broke or having money restraints. I know people who shop for the pure thrill of finding a bargain and putting their artistic skills to work.
Give a thought before you throw out. If something has restored life, pass it on. I prefer to find people who know people who can benefit from the hand me downs in my household closets - but there has been times that I went to consignment stores or used Ebay to make a buck.
Schools have drop off bins but I know counselors/staff who see kids everyday that can benefit from our gently used items.
