Cherryville High School Class of 2020
Gracie Rickard Lincoln Herald Intern
It is surreal to me that as a chapter of my life is ending in a few months, a new one is just beginning.
As I start my next semester, I am reminded of the memories I share with many of my classmates, and how soon we will go our separate ways. We will move on to furthering our education at college or in the workforce, and even though we may never see each other again, I will cherish our times together forever.
Therefore, during this upcoming semester, I plan to attend almost every sports game and spend time with the people I care about most. Through good and bad we have always bounced back.
As our last spring break and last prom of high school are near, it is bittersweet to look back at how much we have grown from being little kindergartners at Cherryville Elementary School. As much as I am ready to spread my wings and start my career, I want this last semester to slow down because I know graduation will be here before we know it.
I will miss you Cherryville High School and the Class of 2020 will always hold a special place in my heart.
MEET GRACIE RICKARD --- I am a senior at Cherryville High School this year and I am very active in our school’s student section, the Metalheads. I attempt to go to almost every game and I am excited to share the sports of Cherryville that normally do not get recognize and also some that do. I currently play varsity tennis, and track and field for Cherryville. I have been playing tennis since my junior year and track and field since my sophomore year. I also am involved in many of the clubs at Cherryville High School such as Journalism Club, Interact Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After high school, I plan to pursue a pathway to become a dental hygienist or something in the medical field. I love to help others and be involved in my community. Therefore, I think by pursuing a degree in the medical field I will be able to continue to do these things. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the events at Cherryville and GO IRONMEN!
