Faith Is A Weapon
Written March 24, 2020

Judge Rembert
Guest Columnist

Go figure...
Humans are hard to explain...
Maybe impossible to explain...
TGIF...
Thank God Its Friday...
Famous expression...

Everyone smiles and says “TGIF”...
Two days to sleep late...
Two days to stay home...
Two days to relax...
Monday will come too fast...
Monday is the dreaded end...
End of the weekend...

1 - First Federal standard ad 300

Then a virus comes along...
Two weeks to sleep late...
Two weeks to stay home...
Two weeks to relax...
Monday is no longer a problem...

Now what do you hear...
“I am bored”,,,
“I don't want to sleep”...
“Don't like being home”...
“Help. Get me out of here”

Go figure...
The virus is deadly...
The young flock to the beaches...
They seem to think they can survive...
Survive the virus but not survive...
Survive missing the beach trip...

Yes the virus has changed life...
War has been declared against the virus...
War always changes lives...
Death even changes lives more...
The virus is our enemy...

War has a way of brings out...
Out the best and the worst of us all...
We all have those choices...
Each of us has to choose...

It is up to each of us to decide...
Do we bring out the best or the worst...
Do we try to make the person we connect
with during this period see best or worst...
Do we make them laugh or cry...

We have phones with pictures...
We have phones with face time...
We have computers with games...
We have 2020 items to connect with...

We are never alone in 2020...
Unless we wish to be...

We also have our faith...
Faith is so important in all wars...
Faith looks for the good in each of us...
We are in this war together...
We will win together...
Faith is a wonderful weapon...

More About Judge Rembert: WWII made Judge an only child when her half-brother was killed in the war. She lived in a tiny town in South Carolina until she was eight and her Mother went to work. She was sent to a boarding school in Belmont, N.C. From that time on she has lived back and forth in the two Carolinas. They are both home. She was born dyslexic and did not know what the problem was or that it had a name until she was about 45. She was unable to spell so she never put words on paper until she was 65 and had a computer with spell check. She comes from a long line of story tellers and a Mother that taught her much by telling stories. Stories about people and how they faced life and how they dealt with problems. If you read what she writes you may hear her Mother and her Grandmother talking to her. She is thrilled to know that anyone reads her words and finds them interesting. Oh, she is 75 now and she now makes her home in Aiken, S.C. If you like Judge’s writings or would like to comment on them let her know by emailing judgerembert@bellsouth.net.
