What's Your Resiliency Frequency?

Marty Reep, Author
Speaker, Forward-Thinker

What makes you resilient? What makes you keep getting back up when life knocks you down? When do you most feel “in the zone”?

If you don’t already know what/where/when it is, take some time to figure it out. Maybe it’s your grounding in God. Maybe it’s the peace you get from a quiet walk. Maybe it’s music playing in your headphones turned up really loud, or turned down really soft. It might come from hanging out with friends and family…or from meeting somebody new.

Whatever it is, whenever it occurs, or however it materializes, take notice and be aware of it. For in those moments, you have touched the core of what keeps you centered. Your inner peace cannot be artificially manufactured. The peace you naturally feel – when you really are at peace – occurs because of the vibrational frequency you resonate to.

For centuries, musicians have intuitively known that if you pluck a guitar string, it will vibrate, cut through the surrounding air, and make a sound. Within the sound of a particular plucked string, natural resonance is occurring. If you apply more or less of that natural resonance to that vibration, its height/amplitude will increase or decrease, accordingly. And, if the string is in tune, it produces a beautiful sound. But, if the string is out of whack / out of sync / or out of tune, it will make a yucky sound. Still, at its core level, the string has a natural frequency or vibration it wants to be at.

You and I are just like that guitar string, in a lot of ways. When we are at peace, we resonate well with people we’re with and situations we’re in. As things “pluck” at us, if they add to our natural resonance, then we respond well. But, if they distort us somehow or cause us to get out of tune, then we sound yucky and react in an awful way.

So, you, too, have natural frequency you want to live in. It’s transparent, because it’s not exactly obvious to most people that “Hey, there’s this thing called your natural frequency that you best perform in”…in fact, I haven’t ever seen a billboard on the side of the road that has that posted on it…nope, not ever. But, ironically, most people know that something’s there like that, because of comments they make: “I do that best when I…” or “Oh, that makes me smile because…” Different words, but essentially showing they know something (in the unseen realm) is there.

The point is, the frequencies that bring you joy, happiness, and peace are the ones in which you best perform, stay healthy, and are resilient. When you are “vibrating”, thinking, living, acting, and reacting in your zone, then it really won’t matter what comes your way – because you will bounce back from it and/or absorb it into who you are. You’ll take charge of it and call the shots, instead of the other way around.

May you be resilient! Be blessed!
