Doing What Could Not Be Done

Marty Reep, Author
Speaker, Forward-Thinker

Do you have dreams, aspirations, plans, and goals that you want to accomplish? If so, then hopefully, you are actively pursuing those dreams and goals on a daily basis. As you make your plans and you work them, you’ll eventually have to reach into the unknown – believing that your dream is possible.

Meaning, if you dream big enough, then you’ll hit the point that you’ll have to speak into areas of the universe that you’re not 100% sure about. When you do, be specific about what you’re looking for. In order to pull out what you’re looking for, you need to believe that it’s possible to reach what it is that you think you’re missing.

Ironically, when you speak, reach, and believe beyond where you see, you claim a portion of the universe that is yours by divine right. It was placed there for you to use, to claim, and to cherish. If you never claim it and always leave it sitting in its original place, then it never has a chance to enter into your heart and mind, to become part of you – to help you become who you are meant to be.

By laying claim to and taking hold of those possibilities, you are stating to yourself and to the world that you want more and that you want to be more than you currently do and are.

When doctors, across time, reached into the unknown to look for a cure to a disease or while imagining a better way to do a procedure, they made history. They achieved what some people around them said could not be done.

When explorers, across time, reached into the unknown from where they were and into where they wanted to go, they made history. They achieved what some people around them said could not be done.

When athletes, across time, reached into the unknown, believing that they could break the 4-minute mile or set a new world record, they made history. They achieved what some people around them said could not be done.

Likewise, there may be people around you who say that something you want to do cannot be done. Don’t believe them. Don’t listen to them. Instead, listen to that voice inside your heart and mind that’s telling you it is possible. Believe the dream you have. Believe in your desire to reach that goal.

Who you will be, next year and the year after, depends on the things you read today, the conversations you contribute to, and the things you tell yourself. So, depending on where you want to be and who you want to become, actively choose the things and people that align with your goals.

In doing so, you conscientiously speak into the unknown to create a future known. Why? Because, you have the desire and ability to do what otherwise could not be done.

Make it a fantastic week!
