As reality of brilliance sets in, you look back over your notes and realize that you’ve finally come to a place that you truly understand what was confusing, only moments before. With an astonished gaze, you soak in the goodness of that point in time: the room, the smells, the lighting, and the sounds. It has happened. It has come true. It makes sense.
Is it tangible? Yes and no. It might seem as if you’re dancing in moonlight, yet it’s broad daylight, outside. Yes, surreal and amazing.
Then, you chuckle. Because just like speckles of light, the answer was right beneath your nose all along. You just didn’t smell it, because your senses or receptors weren’t tuned to the right frequency. You didn’t see it, because you had blind spots, before. And you didn’t hear it, because you were listening for something else.
Some answers lie not in the shadows, but are sitting or standing upright in broad daylight. The problem is that we’re not always looking in the right directions for the right things.
But, with an abrupt about-face, the patterns of rickety shadows hop up, disappear, and give way to new sunlight. That light shines brightly and illuminates all throughout your mind’s crevices, hidden places, and crags. The brilliance of the sun then multiplies on the arrival of the brilliance of revelation.
A smile returns to your previously contorted face, and shows that peace has finally won out, again. In the end, you realize that it’s now just the beginning.
…All in a flash.
