Raindrops on your face. Your favorite song, at just the right moment. A gentle hug. …timeless.
Your grandparent’s adoring smile. Standing upright again, after being deathly sick. Breathing deeply and knowing that finally being able to relax was worth your efforts. …timeless.
There are so many things we could add to this list that are timeless. Some, we create on our own. Others are created or done for us. And, still others just seem to magically happen. However they appear, whatever happens, or whoever causes them to come to pass – in spite of all that, they still do.
Millions upon millions of seemingly inconsequential events stack one upon another in hexagons, triangles, and circles to combine, multiple, and exponentially create timeless things in your life.
The pride and reverence of the right things at right times.
Someone holds on to you – helps you make it through storms – swears they’ll never let go…and they’re still there. ...timeless.
You can’t buy timelessness. Sure, you can buy stuff that might be in the moment of the timeless occurrence, but it’s not the stuff that makes it timeless. It’s all of the nuances, essences, and particulates that combine in just the right degrees for your particular needs or memories in that instance of time. Your mind’s shutter snaps open, records the components, and then snaps shut – capturing all of the bits and pieces required to make that shade of perfection your moment to keep.
And it was for you. If someone else happened to be there – in that exact spot with you – and they were able to experience the same thing, in the same way, then count yourself doubly-blessed. Because, there’s someone else you can recall the moment with, later on.
If not, no worries. Simply enjoy the harmonic entryway into another facet of the world you now know and will recall at some point in the future, with a smile.
When you can see beyond the immediate clambering of the mundane and stare unobstructed into another part of your life, realize it’s a gift. …sort of like being able to see around a curve, ahead of time. When you capture that, and enduringly appreciate it, it’s timeless.
So, what are some things that you are purposefully doing in your own life, or in the lives of others, that will create timeless moments? What timeless acts of love, giving, or service are you contributing to the fabric that makes up our universe?
It’s important to think about, because you, too, are timeless. Each of our days have a beginning and an end in this current realm we inhabit. But, even at the crossover point, we will be part of a lasting continuum that stretches from here to there. …timeless.
