Trust Is Important
Written October 20, 2020

Judge Rembert
Guest Columnist

2020 is a difficult year...
Difficult year to survive...
Everybody tells a different story...
Everybody tells different facts...
Sometimes the same people
Using different facts...
One minute they are for something...
Next minute they are not for it...
How dishonest these people are...

Video cameras should help but...
But they do not...
Pictures are edited...
Liars are clever...
Crooks are clever too...

Just about the time you think...
Think you know the truth...
Well here comes a different slant...
Here comes a different story...

She liked life a lot better...
Better when it was simpler...
She remembered when trust was...
Was important...

People used to be disgraced...
Disgraced to be caught in a lie...
People used to care about their name...
People were even careful...
Careful with facts...
People needed to be trusted...

What has happened to our world...
What has happened to our pride...
What has happened to our dignity...
When did we stop caring...

One can not blame the youth...
Sadly it is the adults...
It is the people we should admire...
The people we need to trust most...

There was a time when people...
Most people...
Said, “I give you my word”...
Well that is a gone expression...
Seems people don't care about...
About their word...

Her Mother taught her...
“ Lying is the same as stealing...
Actually worse...
You steal the truth when you lie”...

2020 The Art of Lying seems to be
the evil that is complicating life...
The TRUTH would be powerful...
The TRUTH would clear heads...
The TRUTH would clear hearts...

You might not like the truth...
But you could deal with it...

YOU CAN NOT WIN WITH A LIAR

More About Judge Rembert: WWII made Judge an only child when her half-brother was killed in the war. She lived in a tiny town in South Carolina until she was eight and her Mother went to work. She was sent to a boarding school in Belmont, N.C. From that time on she has lived back and forth in the two Carolinas. They are both home. She was born dyslexic and did not know what the problem was or that it had a name until she was about 45. She was unable to spell so she never put words on paper until she was 65 and had a computer with spell check. She comes from a long line of story tellers and a Mother that taught her much by telling stories. Stories about people and how they faced life and how they dealt with problems. If you read what she writes you may hear her Mother and her Grandmother talking to her. She is thrilled to know that anyone reads her words and finds them interesting. Oh, she is 75 now and she now makes her home in Aiken, S.C. If you like Judge’s writings or would like to comment on them let her know by emailing judgerembert@bellsouth.net.
