Life on her porch took her back...
Back to a different time...
Maybe she just did not know...
Know the truth back then...
Maybe she did not know the stress...
Stress her family faced...
But as an adult she did not remember...
Remember so much hate...
Hate causes wars...
Wars were in other countries...
America was in the wars...
But they were not in America...
Today outside her porch there is hate...
Outside her yard there is mean hate...
Hate fed with lies...
Hate fed with greed...
Hate fed with power hungry people...
Hate fed by reprobates...
The truth is not easy to find...
TRUTH is not always easy to hear...
TRUTH has a way of shining light...
Light in the dark spots...
You may not like what you see but...
But at least you can see the enemy clearer...
Friends are sad...
People are scared...
People are confused...
People need each other...
Friends see their world changing...
She remembers a different time...
She remembers a different world...
They teach that people do not like change...
She likes change...usually...
She deals with change...usually...
She loves her safe porch...
She loves her safe yard...
But she is scared of this new world...
World filled with hate...
Hate, fires, stealing and lies...
So she hides on her safe porch and prays...
Prays for better safer days...
Prays for America...
Prays for all Americans...
Prays especially for the people filled...
Filled with hate...
They need a safe porch to hide on...
A place to feel safe...
More About Judge Rembert: WWII made Judge an only child when her half-brother was killed in the war. She lived in a tiny town in South Carolina until she was eight and her Mother went to work. She was sent to a boarding school in Belmont, N.C. From that time on she has lived back and forth in the two Carolinas. They are both home. She was born dyslexic and did not know what the problem was or that it had a name until she was about 45. She was unable to spell so she never put words on paper until she was 65 and had a computer with spell check. She comes from a long line of story tellers and a Mother that taught her much by telling stories. Stories about people and how they faced life and how they dealt with problems. If you read what she writes you may hear her Mother and her Grandmother talking to her. She is thrilled to know that anyone reads her words and finds them interesting. Oh, she is 75 now and she now makes her home in Aiken, S.C. If you like Judge’s writings or would like to comment on them let her know by emailing judgerembert@bellsouth.net.
