Heath House Residents Support Our Troops
Heath House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Lincolnton, and the VFW Post 2031 Auxiliary in Statesville, along with help from the community, recently shipped eight care packages to a 26-member platoon as part of the Adopt a US Soldier Program.

First Arrest Made Under City's Special Events Ordinance
Several 'street preachers' came to Thursday night's (June 28th) Alive After Five concert with the apparent intention of testing Lincolnton's recently passed Special Events Ordinance.  One of them was arrested.

Aubrey Hedgepeth Is A Child Prodigy!
Mozart famously began composing when he was just 5 years old. Beethoven began performing publicly when he was 7. And now, a local girl is following in their footsteps. She is 12-year-old Aubrey Hedgepeth of Pumpkin Center. And according to proud mom Danielle Hedgepeth, this young lady is quite the prodigy.

1st Alive After Five Goes Well
The first Alive After Five concert of 2018 in downtown Lincolnton went well.  There was a brief thunderstorm that postponed the music a bit, but when The Entertainers took the stage, the rain was ending and the fun beginning.

1st Alive After Five of 2018 Thursday Night
Weather may or may not be a factor in this Thursday night's first Alive After Five of 2018 in downtown Lincolnton.  If it does rain--but there's no lightning in the area--the band could be moved to the Farmers Market on Water Street.  We'll post information if that should occur.
