Abandoned house on Reinhardt Circle off hwy 73 near Iron Station burned Saturday night, April 18, 2015

Wayne Howard
Staff Writer

"The house had been vacant for quite some time--and there was no storm at the time, so you could say that, but we can't confirm it."  That's what Deputy Fire Marshal Rodney Emmett told the Lincoln Herald about a fire Saturday night (April 18th) that destroyed an abandoned house on Reinhardt Circle near Iron Station.

When firefighters arrived, the structure was fully involved so there was no evidence left to determine the cause, but there was no electricity to the house and no storm at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported at the fire.

Union, Howard's Creek, North 321, North Brook, and some Lincolnton firefighters all got in some training Saturday morning at another fire. This one was a practice burn of a large house on Cansler Road.
